Tabula Rasa Fall 2018 Ready-to-Wear

For FW 18, Tabula Rasa recalls the artistic expression of Medieval Romanticism, emulating the luminous and bold paintings of the Pre- Raphaelite movement.

We also travel to the Atlas Mountains in Morocco to uncover the ancient tradition and design of the Berber culture, which adds textural complexity to the collection.

Although worlds away, there’s a striking balance of bold print and textural woven patterns similar to that of Berber rugs sitting alongside feminine silhouettes with draped details, reminiscent of many Pre-Raphaelite paintings.

Translucent knits and billowy sleeves of the Zemmour Sweater reflect the Romanticism of the period, while the delicate draping and fringe of the Kahina Collection are crafted to highlight the fluid movement showcased in pre-Raphaelite art. Ethereal qualities play out in the intricate twist details of the Millais Collection. Feminine silhouettes are styled in rich, textured fine mesh knits of the Zayanes Dress.

Textures come alive in the Dante collection, where tie up details and chunky knits balance the sophisticated fine rib knit of the Aures Slip Dress.

Deep in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco, Berber culture inspires bold pattern and texture. Modern interpretations of this design are created through layers of fringe that smatter the Berber Fringe Sleeve Sweater and Jacket.

Flamingos and their exuberant pink hues play as the main inspiration for this season’s color palette against luxe classics of cream, camels, and navy.
